Pipe Fitter

We are currently seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to join our clients\’ fabrication team. The role is primarily workshop-based, supporting the manufacture and assembly of complex pipework systems to exacting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and specifications
• Measure, cut, bend, align, and assemble pipework accurately
• Fit pipes, flanges, valves, and fittings in preparation for welding
• Prepare joints for welding (tacking, bolting, clamping)
• Work with materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipe
• Use hand tools, power tools, and pipe manipulation machinery
• Check alignment, dimensions, and tolerances to ensure compliance
• Work closely with welders, fabricators, and engineers
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter, ideally within a fabrication or engineering environment
• Ability to work confidently from technical drawings
• Strong understanding of pipework systems and fabrication practices
• High attention to detail and quality
• Experience working with high-integrity or industrial pipework (desirable)
