We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company that is looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join its skilled machining team. The position involves programming, setting and operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture high-quality precision components. Experience with Heidenhain controls would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme, set and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Manufacture precision components to the required specifications and tolerances
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Understand and work with geometric dimensions and tolerances
- Select and use suitable cutting tools
- Inspect completed components using a range of precision measuring equipment
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and safety
- Work in accordance with company procedures and policies
Skills and Experience
- Previous CNC milling experience
- Ability to programme, set and operate CNC milling machines
- Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machining
- Heidenhain control experience is preferred
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings
