We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to support our Authentication Team Leader at our Crawley warehouse. This is a full-time position. The standard work week is Monday to Friday, with hours from 09:30 to 17:30. Flexibility may be required during peak periods.
About the role
The Authentication / QC Assistant Team Leader supports the Team Leader in the daily operations of the product authentication and quality control (QC) processes within the warehouse. This role involves assisting in the supervision of authenticators and QC specialists, ensuring all products meet strict quality and authenticity standards, and upholding efficient workflows. The successful candidate will be a key support member and role model for the team, maintaining high standards of integrity and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Support the Team Leader in the daily supervision, mentorship, and scheduling of the Authentication and QC team members.
- Conduct and support the authentication of all incoming and outgoing products to ensure 100% compliance with authenticity standards.
- Perform quality control checks on inventory for condition and description accuracy.
- Assist the Team Leader in the implementation of efficient, scalable authentication and QC processes and procedures.
- Track and report on team performance against key metrics, escalating deviations to the Team Leader promptly.
- Serve as a primary point of coordination between the Authentication/QC Team and Inventory and Logistics departments to ensure smooth product flow.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of product authenticity indicators and market counterfeiting trends.
- Handle routine authentication disputes and complex cases, escalating severe issues to the Team Leader.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment in the authentication and QC area.
- Prepare weekly reports on team performance and process efficiency for the Team Leader and Person.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a lead or senior role, preferably within a warehouse or quality control environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in product authentication, with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
- Prior experience in the luxury goods or high-value retail sector.
- Relevant professional certification in quality control or authentication.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards within a warehouse setting.
