As an Authentication Associate, you will be responsible for verifying the origin and authenticity of luxury products (leather goods, ready‑to‑wear, jewelry, watches, accessories) before they proceed to quality control. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our catalog by detecting counterfeit items and preventing fraud. This is a warehouse‑based position that requires versatility during peak activities and participation in team projects like process security (5S) and inventory management.

Work Schedule

  • Hours: Mon–Fri, 9AM–5:30PM (40 hours/week) with a 45 min lunch break.
  • Training: Includes an initial intensive 1 month training period.

What you’ll be doing

  • Authentication: Examine and verify the authenticity of luxury goods using specialized knowledge, tools, and techniques (UV lighting, magnification, etc.).
  • Quality & Documentation: Ensure products comply with descriptions and create or update related authentication documentation.
  • KPI Management: Maintain high performance against targets, including 100% productivity, a 0.10% return rate, and keeping false fake rates below 3%.
  • Process Improvement: Support the 5S project to improve warehouse processes and security.
  • Continuous Learning: Engage in rigorous training (e.g., Level 1 & 2 Academy programs) to specialize in brands and categories like handbags, jewelry, or watches.

Requirements and Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in authentication, auction houses, museums, or luxury retail is highly preferred.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of luxury fashion and brands is a must.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with research databases and specialized authentication software/tools.

  • Communication: Ability to provide clear feedback on items without taking technical critiques personally.
