Win-berry is currently recruiting a Permanent Warehouse & Logistics Manager on behalf of our client based in Lydney, Gloucestershire. This pivotal role involves overseeing all inbound and outbound warehouse operations, managing internal material flows, and ensuring the safe and efficient storage of goods both in-house and at external warehouses.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch activities, as well as maintaining inventory control, coordinating deliveries from ports, and supporting continuous process improvements. The role requires close collaboration with production, quality, logistics, and finance teams to optimise warehouse layout, workflows, and stock control systems, including SAP and BDE.
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will also lead and develop warehouse staff, enforce health and safety standards, and ensure all activities comply with internal policies and external regulations. You will be expected to monitor KPIs, analyse data, and implement initiatives for performance improvement, all within a fast-paced environment that demands resilience, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Essential Criteria- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehousing or logistics management
- Working export knowledge, particularly into Europe
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Experience with WMS, ERP, or MES systems
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and data analysis proficiency, preferably with Excel
- willingness to travel to external warehouse sites as required
- Experience in process improvement, space optimisation, and stock control
