Join the Vestas Offshore Supply Chain team, supporting logistics and warehouse operations across our Service Operations Vessels and Onshore harbour sites. Working within the renewable energy sector, you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team that helps maintain wind farms across the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Travel nationally and occasionally internationally to support offshore wind service operations across SOVs, harbours, and warehouse locations.
- Manage daily warehouse activities, ensuring materials, tools, consumables, and spare parts are available to meet operational requirements.
- Receive, inspect, store, and control inventory while maintaining high stock accuracy and audit compliance.
- Forecast material demand, monitor stock levels, and identify alternative sourcing solutions to prevent supply chain disruptions.
- Coordinate with offshore teams to prepare, package, document, and deliver materials safely and on time.
- Oversee tooling, calibration schedules, safety-critical equipment, and non-conformance processes to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
- Conduct inventory checks, cycle counts, stock replenishment, and provide regular updates on material availability, warehouse readiness, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or production environments with a strong understanding of operational processes.
- Knowledge of stock control and inventory management practices, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient material flow.
- Experience using SAP or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to manage inventory and warehouse activities.
- Good written and spoken English skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to follow established written and verbal instructions while adhering to operational procedures and standards.
- Strong commitment to company health, safety, and compliance requirements, consistently following policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, with relevant warehouse, logistics, or forklift certifications considered advantageous but not essential.
We expect that you:
- Have a valid forklift licence and proven experience operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Have experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management, with renewable energy or offshore industry experience desirable.
- Have knowledge of customs, import/export procedures, and shipping processes would be advantageous.
- Can independently manage warehouse operations while ensuring materials, tools, and consumables are available to support operational needs.
- Possess strong inventory management capabilities, maintaining high levels of stock accuracy and effective stock control.
- Understand forecasting, safety stock management, and broader supply chain processes to support business continuity.
- Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with experience managing tooling, lifting equipment, or calibrated assets considered beneficial.
