At Norfolk Vanguard West, a 1.4 GW offshore windfarm located approximately 47 km from shore, you will work in the Offshore Service department for Vestas, the OEM. As a Service Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of 92 V236 15 MW offshore wind turbines.
Responsibilities- Develop a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines to perform daily maintenance and other field-service tasks.
- Work to the highest safety and environmental standards while ensuring service targets are met as part of a regional technician team.
- Carry out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas specifications.
- Replace components (electrical and mechanical) and troubleshoot system issues.
- Collaborate with technicians, supervisors in the field and regular contact with office staff.
- Proven background in mechanical, electrical or hydraulics within a similar industry.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work at height and in adverse weather conditions.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Previous accreditation as an AT/CT under WTSR is advantageous.
