Tasks & Responsibilities
- Building blades in accordance with the production plan
- Manufacturing products to the required quality standards using the latest controlled documentation issued by Vestas
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area
- Looking after tools and equipment within your work area
- Following safe working practices and encouraging colleagues to do the same
- Performing lay‑up of materials (carbon fibre and glass fibre) in moulds according to lay‑up plans
- Applying resins using vacuum equipment
- Applying bonding materials as required
- Using power tools for trimming and grinding to meet the required finish
- Preparing material kits for fellow operatives
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including quality improvements and Takt Time reduction activities
Shift Pattern
- 4 days on, 4 days off: 06:45 – 19:00 (Day Shift)
- 4 nights on, 4 days off: 18:45 – 07:00 (Night Shift)
Each shift is 12.25 hours in duration.
