The NCE Construction Offshore Bid management & Operations Logistics represents the commercial part of the offshore turbine installation organisation in the regional business unit Northern & Central Europe (NCE). The Bid Management Offshore team is responsible for construction-related activities from early customer engagement to bidding and contract negotiation until the completion of the contract. We are looking for a Lead Proposal Manager to join our Construction Bid Management Offshore department, where you will be working on sales projects for the world leaders in wind.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Tailor project-specific technical, logistical, and commercial solutions for Construction and Installation of Offshore Wind Turbines meeting customer and Vestas' requirements.
- Create accurate and competitive budgets for the Construction of Offshore Wind farms, covering various aspects such as Project Management, Pre-assembly operations, Harbors, Installation, Commissioning, Staffing, and Vessel scopes.
- Manage the interface between Sales and Construction, involving various stakeholders from subject matter experts to senior management.
- Balance customer project business case optimization with an appropriate cost/risk level for Vestas.
- Ensure PM/Construction elements of FIDIC based TSA contracts are appropriately drafted with support from legal advisors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or similar technical discipline).
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience such as project management of large-scale projects in energy, infrastructure or equal.
- Extensive technical knowledge and robust commercial business insight such as contract and risk management of large-scale industrial projects.
- Understanding of the technical complexities of offshore wind projects as well as the contractual mechanisms.
- Experience with the FIDIC Yellow Book would be highly advantageous.
- Fluency in English.
