Do you bring experience as a transactional lawyer working with infrastructure contracts? This is an exciting chance to take on a key legal role in the Offshore transactions department.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the NCE offshore sales department to negotiate offshore wind transactions
- Review and analyze tender documents issued by international clients, to identify and address legal/contractual risks
- Draft, review and negotiate turbine sales contracts, usually based on FIDIC yellow book, as well as long‑term service agreements
- Manage support of external law firms
- Support the contract management and project management teams during the execution phases of transactions
- Find ways to optimize the way we do business, help develop and improve templates, refine company policies and processes, and apply best practices
Qualifications
- Master of Laws or equivalent
- Qualified lawyer in Scotland or England, with at least 5 years of experience as a transactional lawyer from a large international company or law firm
- Previous experience in the renewables sector
- Experience negotiating FIDIC contracts
- Knowledge of handling complex infrastructure contracts
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- An additional legal qualification from or experience working in another EU jurisdiction would be a benefit
