Do you bring experience as a transactional lawyer working with infrastructure contracts? This is an exciting chance to take on a key legal role in the Offshore transactions department.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the NCE offshore sales department to negotiate offshore wind transactions
  • Review and analyze tender documents issued by international clients, to identify and address legal/contractual risks
  • Draft, review and negotiate turbine sales contracts, usually based on FIDIC yellow book, as well as long‑term service agreements
  • Manage support of external law firms
  • Support the contract management and project management teams during the execution phases of transactions
  • Find ways to optimize the way we do business, help develop and improve templates, refine company policies and processes, and apply best practices

Qualifications

  • Master of Laws or equivalent
  • Qualified lawyer in Scotland or England, with at least 5 years of experience as a transactional lawyer from a large international company or law firm
  • Previous experience in the renewables sector
  • Experience negotiating FIDIC contracts
  • Knowledge of handling complex infrastructure contracts
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • An additional legal qualification from or experience working in another EU jurisdiction would be a benefit
