Global Offshore Support Field Trainer (f/m/d)

Overview
In this role, you will support and coach Offshore Service Site Technicians at new offshore service sites across all regions during the Service Readiness and site Ramp-Up phases. The aim is to ensure knowledge sharing across Global Offshore Service operations and to implement best practices and new learnings across the value chain, minimising lost production from day one. You will act as a mentor and coach to help the local site team operate the windfarm to maximum efficiency. During your first year you will undergo Vestas technical training at our facilities in Denmark, followed by field training at one of our first V236 operational sites before being placed at a new Offshore Service site globally. You will work onshore or offshore in a rotational pattern, supporting our first V236 sites from Service Commencement, using your expertise to develop skills and competencies in troubleshooting and service activities.
Responsibilities
- Train and coach colleagues on operating the V236-15MW turbines, acting as a mentor and ambassador for operational excellence within the region.
- Support site teams with using Vestas processes and best practices to operate in a standardized way and enable global offshore service scale-up; share lessons learned across the value chain.
- Assist site teams with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Train teams in all technical and operational aspects of the V236 platform.
- Improve first-time fixes and reduce service times (monitoring times with Power BI).
- Coach in the use of Vestas Wind Turbine Safety Rules and establish general safety practices.
- Train new technicians from early recruitment and support inspection and upgrading activities.
- Monitor daily operations and perform remote fault finding via online systems.
- Support the Global Offshore Support Supervisor and Site Supervisor and coach other technicians.
Qualifications
- Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university (e.g., Marine Engineer or similar).
- Relevant professional experience in electrical or mechanical roles; prior experience as a Field Trainer, Lead Technician/Supervisor, Service Technician, Trouble Shooter, or related roles is advantageous.
- Currently hold Authorized Technician status on V164/V174 or EnVentus platforms.
- Good English skills (spoken and written).
- Full driver’s license.
- Good IT knowledge (preferred: SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook).
