MVOW Offshore Wind UK > Global Offshore > Plant Operations Cluster 2 + Global Plant Operations Offshore, a sub‑department of Technical Operations Offshore, supports the global service and commissioning business with deep technical expertise and acts as the link between engineering and local business units. Our team provides high‑quality support to service technicians, delivers technical troubleshooting on SCADA and Power Plant Controller systems, and ensures secure and stable operation across offshore wind farms.
Responsibilities
- Provide cybersecurity support and expertise for offshore SCADA, OT networks, and industrial control systems, acting as an internal consultant on OT security matters.
- Support technicians and local service organisations with secure remote access, firewall configuration, user management, and network hardening.
- Deliver real‑time remote support through Hotline participation, including on‑call weekend rotation and shift coverage between 06:00‑18:00 CET when required.
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT Security, third‑level support, and external partners to drive continuous security improvements.
- Support audits, compliance activities, and alignment with industrial cybersecurity standards and best practices.
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuous improvement of security processes and solutions.
- Provide commissioning and lifecycle security support on new projects, from initial setup through secure integration to operational handover.
Qualifications
- Solid experience with Cisco® networking equipment (CCNA level minimum), plus experience with industrial routers and switches from other vendors.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and regulations such as IEC 62443, NIS 2, and KRITIS V.
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting techniques in industrial or networked environments.
- Basic knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g. MODBUS, IEC 104, OPC) and industrial electrical systems (beneficial).
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux systems (beneficial).
- Understanding of virtualization technologies (beneficial).
- Professional‑level English communication skills, both spoken and written.

- Comfortable engaging with customers on security sensitive topics, willing to travel occasionally, with good IT skills (MS Office), a valid driver’s licence, and ability to obtain a passport.
