The Service Offshore UK department is rapidly growing and a strategically vital part of the country\'s renewable energy sector. It encompasses a wide range of activities and organisations focused on the operations and maintenance (O&M) of offshore wind farms, which are essential for ensuring long‑term performance, safety, and cost‑efficiency.
Situated 27km off the coast of Angus in the North Sea, Seagreen is the largest Offshore Wind Farm in Scotland. Operating out of Port Montrose, Scotland, our new Service Manager will be working in the Service department for Vestas who are the OEM and responsible for the maintenance and repair of the offshore wind turbines on behalf of our client.
Responsibilities
- As Service Manager, you will be working on site and reporting to the Regional Service Offshore Director, UK. You will be collaborating broadly with engineering, logistics, and commercial teams.
- You will be P&L responsible for your site and be fully responsible for the service delivery including people management and vessels
- Managing the site team to ensure that they deliver optimised operation of customer assets encompassing Quality, HSE, production performance, asset security, operations and maintenance activities and employee development
- You will work closely with our customer in collaboration with the Customer Manager
- You will be handling daily operations, maintenance schedules, and resource allocation
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and promoting a safety-first culture
Qualifications
- Great and clear communicator, with a positive influence
- Ability to guide and motivate site teams
- Business acumen and familiar with setting goals, budgeting and cost optimisation
- Commercial understanding and experience with contract management
- Planning and carrying out tasks with competing priorities
- Having experience in the Wind Industry as well as Offshore operations is beneficial but is not a prerequisite
