Lead the scale-up of a new manufacturing site and shape its success from day one. Driven by significant growth, Vestas aircoil is expanding its manufacturing footprint and is now preparing to establish operations at a new 55,000 sq. ft. production site in Peterlee. To lead this journey, we are looking for a Site Manager who will play a key role in taking the site from setup to stable, high-performing service, production and operations relating to multiple product groups.
This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a new site and shape the organization, culture, and ways of working from an early stage. The role combines strategic responsibility with strong hands-on involvement and is ideal for a leader who thrives in dynamic, build-and-scale environments.
What you will be doing
- Establishing and scaling service business and manufacturing operations, from initial setup to stable high performance.
- Taking full responsibility for the site’s business and operational results including safety and quality.
- Ensuring compliance with local legislation and company standards.
- Recruiting, leading, and developing operational teams across production, supply chain, quality, maintenance, and logistics.
- Creating strong alignment between the site, group functions, and senior leadership.
We imagine you bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a comparable field.
- Solid management experience from an order-driven manufacturing environment.
- A strong track record in project-based and make-to-order production, ideally within heavy or industrial manufacturing.
- Experience supporting both internal stakeholders and external customers, including service-oriented or aftermarket activities.
- A visible, hands-on leadership style, with a natural presence close to operations and the shop floor.
