We are setting up a new manufacturing and aftermarket service operation in Peterlee, and we need you to set up quality, health, safety, environmental and continuous improvement practices.
What you’ll get your hands on, will vary, especially joining the site leadership team of a greenfield manufacturing as we have it. However, most of your work will happen on the shop floor, working alongside production and personally putting systems and standards into practice.
You will:
- Design, implement and maintain practical QHSE processes, with ISO 9001 certification as a key priority.
- Inspect products and processes, establish quality checkpoints and manage non-conformances across manufacturing and aftermarket activities.
- Conduct audits, assess risks and strengthen health, safety and environmental controls.
- Coach teams and make safety, quality and continuous improvement part of their daily routines.
- Lead investigations, corrective actions and Kaizen activities, checking that improvements last.
Bring the whole picture and the all-round experience. Hands-on is your preferred way of working and you enjoy getting out among the team, spottingwhat needs attention and seeing a change through until it works.
That also means you have:
- Manufacturing experience spanning Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and practical CI, with responsibility across these areas.
- Experience personally inspecting products, resolving quality issues and implementing ISO 9001.
- Evidence of building processes yourself and getting people involved in making them work.
- NEBOSH General Certificate, Lead Auditor qualification, IOSH Managing Safely and a relevant degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification.
