About the role

This role leads supply planning activities end-to-end, ensuring alignment between demand, production, and distribution, while proactively managing risk, constraints, and trade-offs. As a senior member of the planning function, the role also supports decision making in S&OP/IBP, drives continuous improvement, and provides coaching and direction to junior planners where applicable.

Your responsibilities

  • End-to-End Supply Ownership (UK Market)
  • Facilitate in the supply plan for UK portfolio across regionally sourced manufacturing sites
  • Ensure product availability aligned to customer requirements and service targets
  • Manage supply allocation and prioritisation during constrained scenarios
  • Regional Sourcing & Network Alignment
  • Coordinate with regional factories and third party manufacturers to ensure capacity and supply continuity
  • Facilitate production plans across multiple sourcing locations to meet UK demand
  • Manage intercompany supply flows, lead times, and network constraints
  • Own inventory health across UK network, balancing service, cost, and obsolescence risk
  • Set and maintain inventory policies (safety stock, MOQ, lead times)
  • Lead initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete stock
  • Monitor slow-moving inventory and drive corrective actions
  • Performance Management & S&OP/IBP Contribution
  • Lead supply inputs into S&OP / IBP cycles, including scenario planning and risk assessment
  • Provide clear visibility of supply risks, opportunities, and trade-offs
  • Report, track and improve KPIs (service levels, forecast adherence, inventory turns, plan stability)
  • Support executive decision making with data driven insights
  • Cross-functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning, Commercial, and Customer Service teams to align priorities
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics to resolve constraints
  • Influence stakeholders across functions and geographies to deliver optimal outcomes
  • Identify supply risks early (capacity, materials, logistics disruptions)
  • Develop mitigation and contingency plans
  • Lead crisis management for critical supply issues impacting the UK market
  • Drive improvements in planning processes, tools, and governance
  • Champion supply chain best practices and standardisation
  • Coach and support junior planners or cross functional teams
  • Contribute to transformation initiatives (e.g., system enhancements, IBP maturity)

The experience we're looking for

Significant experience in Supply Planning within FMCG or similarly fast-paced environments

Proven track record managing complex supply networks with regional/global sourcing

Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain, including manufacturing and logistics

Experience leading planning processes (S&OP / IBP) and influencing senior stakeholders

Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (SAP/APO/IBP preferred)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

Demonstrated ability to operate in high-pressure, ambiguous environments
