This role reports into the Head of Grocery and does not have direct line management responsibility. The Digital Commerce Account Executive will work daily and cross-functionally with the Sales and National Account Managers, as well as Marketing and Media teams, to deliver aligned commercial and brand objectives across the online grocery channel. It also has sole ownership for the Ocado National Account including retailer relationship and JBP’s. The role requires strong collaboration, data-led decision making and external customer engagement.
Your responsibilities
- Digital Shelf Management: Own the end-to-end digital shelf across online grocery customers, running and tracking performance with a continuous test and learn mindset. Lead ratings and reviews programmes in partnership with Bazaarvoice to drive conversion and shopper trust. Track and optimise search visibility and ranking, ensuring products are discoverable across key missions and keywords. Ensure strong online availability, proactively identifying and resolving content, ranging or stock issues. Upload all content to Brand Bank and check live on T5 retailer websites.
- Retail Media Management: Manage performance marketing execution across platforms such as Citrus and Criteo, including daily campaign set up, optimisation and reporting. Optimise retail media investment to drive clear sales outcomes and ROAS. Ensure retail media activity is fully aligned with in-store promotions and customer plans. Amplify and build upon brand ATL campaigns within the online grocery environment. Act as the sales lead for Ocado, working in close collaboration with the Head of Grocery.
- Achieve Net Revenue, TI and Gross Margin targets for the account portfolio.
- Achieve account 4P targets (Product, Placement, Price & Promotion).
- Provide challenge within a Category Business Team from a customer perspective.
- Develop multi-level relationships with the account.
- Develop and deliver customer Joint Business Plan (JBP).
- Budget Control & ROI Analysis: Own and manage the retail media budget for online grocery customers. Track performance and deliver clear ROI analysis, insights and recommendations. Use commercial data to inform future investment decisions and continuous optimisation.
The experience we’re looking for
- 1-2 years experience in online grocery account management in the UK.
- 1-2 years managing Digital Shelf (Content, availability, ratings and reviews, search); Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Waitrose, Ocado.
- 1 year experience in retailer media on grocery platforms.
- Experience using Citrus / Criteo required.
- Experience with Digital Shelf tools e.g. Profitero, eStore, Commerce IQ beneficial but not required.
- In-store shopper marketing experience beneficial but not required.
