The Opportunity:
In this role, you will be working in Veson Nautical\’s Data Intelligence division. Veson Nautical’s Data Intelligence division incorporates 3 brands, VesselsValue, Q88 & Oceanbolt. Each solution delivers data and insights via an online platform and APIs to the Maritime Sector. We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated and confident team member with a strong commercial background and a successful track record of converting leads into new business sales.
Responsibilities:
- Increasing the client base through lead conversion
- Selling the Veson Data Intelligence products and services; offering current and new data sets to provide custom solutions for prospective clients
- Working with the Management, Marketing, Development and Research teams to co-ordinate and deliver effective campaigns
- Less than 25% travel annually – Including attending industry events and face-to-face prospect meetings
Skills/Experience needed to be successful in this role:
- Previous experience in developing new business is essential, preferably 3+ years in data sales or similar SaaS/Software/subscription products and services
- Tenacious and resourceful in reaching the relevant contacts and decision makers within the company
- Confident in cold calling companies from generated leads
- Drive and motivation, energy and activity
- Experience in sales with a track record of winning new business
- Ability to think strategically and build a plan to drive sales further
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail under tight deadlines
- Ability to present to both small and large audiences
- Understanding of the maritime sector is preferred, but not essential
