  • Mechanic – Full-Time
  • Location: Veseys Equipment, PEI
  • Expected Hours: 30-40 per week/flexible
  • Signing Bonus: $2,000 for Red Seal Qualification/Certificate
  • $1,000 upon signing
  • $1,000 after 6 months of continuous service

Position Overview

We seek an experienced and qualified Mechanic to join our growing team.

This role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various equipment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, a team-focused attitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and equipment repairs
  • Use specialized tools, power tools, and hand tools effectively
  • Follow technical manuals and standard repair procedures
  • Complete, accurate records of work performed, including parts and labour
  • Collaborate with sales and parts departments as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Guide junior mechanics or apprentices when required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Proficient in the use of shop tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to health and safety standards
  • Red Seal Certification is considered a strong asset
