Veseys Equipment, a division of Vesey’s Seeds Ltd., serves the four Atlantic Canadian provinces with golf, municipal and commercial grounds maintenance equipment and serves PEI with residential, professional landscaper, and tractor products from many of the industry’s most respected brands.

Position Overview

Local Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of goods to customers across PEI.

This role ensures excellent customer service, maintains delivery documentation, and upholds company standards while operating a delivery vehicle.

This role is a seasonal/part-time position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company delivery vehicles in accordance with PEI road regulations.
  • Load, secure, and unload goods, ensuring accuracy of orders.
  • Deliver products to residential, commercial, and industrial customers within PEI.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to meet daily schedules.
  • Provide professional, courteous service at each delivery location.
  • Obtain signatures or proof of delivery when required.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and paperwork.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Report mechanical issues or delays promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Strong time-management and route-planning skills.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities.

Preferred

  • Previous delivery driving experience.
  • Knowledge of PEI communities and rural routes.
  • Experience with handheld scanners or delivery apps.
  • Working Conditions
  • Primarily throughout Prince Edward Island.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, and moving items.
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
  • May include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or variable schedules.
