Job: Teaching Assistant

Salary range: £85.50 – £96.12 per day

Location: Roles available in Canton, Cathays & Grangetown areas

Sector: Primary Schools

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team, working in primary schools in the Canton, Cathays & Grangetown areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the learning and development of students, while gaining valuable experience in a classroom environment.

Please note, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

What is required:

  • Experience in a UK school setting.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain a new one.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their development
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification (Level 2 or 3)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1 to 1 experience is highly desired but not essential
  • Patience, adaptability and a positive attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Support individual students or small groups in their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Provide one-to-one support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom management, including setting up materials and resources.
  • Supervise students during break times and extracurricular activities.
  • Support pupils with their reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
