We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team, working in primary schools in Merthyr Tydfil. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the learning and development of students, while gaining valuable experience in a classroom environment.
What is required:
- Experience in a UK school setting
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain a new one
- A relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification (Level 2 or 3)
- Passion for working with children and supporting their development
- 1 to 1 experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, adaptability and a positive attitude

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Support individual students or small groups in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management, including setting up materials and resources
- Supervise students during break times and extracurricular activities
- Support pupils with their reading, writing, and numeracy skills
