As an Electrical Engineer you will be part of a team that undertakes various electrical based activities onsite based around the installation, refurbishment and maintenance of Ventilation plant.

Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • To carry out electrical work on site inclusive of but not limited to, mains electrical works, containment installation, controls field wiring, control panel modifications, condition inspections and electrical commissioning.
  • To be able to carry out post installations checks and identify issues involving VES controls and air handling units. Note, in-house and on-the-job training will be provided on VES equipment.
  • To assist with the construction of flat-packed AHU’s and associated equipment.
  • To ensure that health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Provide daily reports to management documenting works and issues as applicable.
  • To ensure the growth of the department by ensuring that the level of service offered is high.
  • To represent VES at all times in a professional manner.

Main Activities

  • To carry out commissioning and post installation checks of AHU’s, controls and other associated equipment once installed by VES or others to include taking of air volume and pressure readings. (Training will be provided for this).
  • To carry out internal wiring of components within air handling units.
  • To carry out field wiring of VES standard control panels to VES air handling units, including temperature sensors, frost sensors etc.
  • To install mains power cabling from DBs and plantroom CPs to local control panels
  • To undertake fault finding diagnostics visits of AHU plant.
  • To assist VES Mechanical engineers with the construction of flat-packed AHU’s and associated equipment.
  • To ensure that any health and safety requirements given for the particular site are adhered to.
  • To ensure all sites are left clean and tidy.
  • To ensure all contracts are completed correctly and fully in accordance with specification, along with the company’s procedures and Quality manual.
  • To ensure that all information collected from site is recorded accurately and that this information is passed back to the relevant person.
