Purpose of the Role
To support the SM manufacturing facility and associated managers, to help maintain manufacturing schedules and improve efficiencies. To contribute towards the manufacturing strategy of “On time in full, at totally lowest cost”.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure the daily order requirements are being managed to meet on time production order dates through Work Centre capacity reservations.
- To ensure health and Safety is followed in areas of responsibility.
- To provide support to other areas when required.
- Assisting in keeping area clean and tidy at all times.
- To provide cover for powder coating when needed.
- To be aware of lean manufacturing principles and processes.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by your supervisor.
Personal Key Performance Indicators
Focus of the manufacturing strategy is On Time In Full (OTIF). Reduction in damages.
Managed by Effective Work Centre Management, measured by:
- Working in line with Capacity Reservations and ensuring all hours are posted daily.
- AX status reflecting physical Manufacturing progress using traffic light system.
- Meeting first time plans.
- Regular communication with management team to ensure work flow on track.
On time PRA Delivery Date, measured by:
- Work Centre PowerBI report, to minimum 98% on time.
- Work Centre reservations cleared daily.
Meeting Quality Standards, measured by:
- Work with the team leaders and management to acknowledge repeat issues/concerns/areas of focus for improvement.
