Our Client, a successful Health and Safety Consultancy based in Staffordshire, are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Consultant to join their growing team.

The successful Health and Safety Consultant will be required to:

  • Undertake full Health and Safety legal compliance audits and inspections, including developing tailored legal registers and prioritised action plans.
  • Complete site specific risk assessments, including Fire (if qualified), COSHH, Manual Handling and DSE.
  • Audit client facilities for compliance with legislation.
  • Advise the management team on commercial and technical direction so that the business can adapt to emerging trends.
  • Provide on-site health and safety support (e.g. acting as the interim Health and Safety Consultant/Manager).
  • Design and deliver health and safety training and seminars.

The ideal Health and Safety Consultant will have:

  • 1-2 years experience in a health and safety related role.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • CDM and Fire experience are advantageous but not essential.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Good attention to detail with ability to produce high quality reports and documents.
  • A thirst for knowledge with the drive to develop further through training.
  • Accountability of own continuous professional development.
  • Full driving licence essential.

Flexibility to travel; after initial training period you are able to work from home if preferred, but you must be willing to travel to client’s sites throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays if required.

A competitive basic salary of £36,500 will be offered.

  • Hybrid or home working offered after initial training period.
  • Hybrid/office – 9.00am – 5.00pm. Site visits vary with travel time.
  • Mileage allowance 45p per mile.
  • Mobile phone and laptop.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an extra day for your birthday.
  • Start date ASAP.
