We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking Womenswear multiproduct designer to join our small but dynamic Womenswear team for a maternity cover. This role has a focus on looking at and designing for our celebrity collaborations for Very’s own brand and also leading in trend and developing trend ideas to action quickly and react to.

This role requires previous experience working within a womenswear team, preferably working on trends, and having a detailed understanding of the process of designing a womenswear department. This role is open to either London or Liverpool candidates. For London candidates, regular travel to Liverpool 2 or occasionally 3 times per month would be required.

  • Develop seasonal trends, colours & ranges for Celebrity collaborations across multiproduct categories.
  • Work with the trend researcher to action quick concepts and designs out for our speed to market model.
  • Assist the design manager in overseeing trend presentations, trend rack ups and product selection for campaigns for womenswear.
  • Present design concepts confidently in team meetings and to the wider business.
  • Oversee a fast-paced department with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Collaborate with Buyers to create cohesive, commercially successful collections across Near East and Far East production.
  • Work closely with Technical Designers to refine fits and construction across the department.
  • Partner with suppliers to identify fabric and trim innovations, sourcing in line with seasonal trends.
  • Conduct ongoing research into trends and product direction within your category.
  • Apply knowledge of colour, graphics, and print to translate trends into clear design concepts.
  • Produce detailed CAD designs and presentation materials using Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Create accurate, comprehensive design packs for the supply chain.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support sourcing and product development.
  • Analyse sales performance and respond by designing fashion-forward, customer-focused ranges.

We’re looking for someone who is not only creative and detail-oriented, but also confident who thrives in a collaborative environment. To succeed, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience within a Womenswear Design Team, ideally with a strong background in multiproduct.
  • Some/possible experience managing or mentoring designers.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and team-focused approach.
  • Attention to detail and leading with trend concepts is key.
  • You must have previous experience within Womenswear fashion at a Junior or Designer level who is interested in a new challenge.
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Suite is a must.
