About the role

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll take the lead in designing intuitive, accessible, and impactful customer experiences across our digital products. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Researchers, you’ll own design solutions from discovery through to delivery, ensuring they meet user needs, business goals and technical constraints. You’ll contribute to the evolution of our design system, lead design work across your squad or workstream, and collaborate on cross-tribe initiatives. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping the product experience, while also mentoring associate designers and role-modelling best practices in accessibility, collaboration, and product thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers high-quality, accessible, and inclusive design across native mobile (iOS/Android) and responsive web platforms.
  • Skilled in discovery, journey mapping, prototyping, testing, and delivering polished UI design.
  • Applies platform-specific conventions (e.g. iOS HIG, Material Design) and considers mobile-specific scenarios like authentication, gestures, and screen constraints.
  • Uses data and user insight to iterate and inform decisions at pace.
  • Evolves our design system through thoughtful pattern contribution and reuse.
  • Balances usability, creativity and feasibility through close collaboration with engineers.
  • Mentors associate designers on tools, techniques and craft best practices.
  • Understands product strategy and can translate it into clear design opportunities.
  • Collaborates with Product Managers to shape roadmap decisions and priorities.
  • Embeds lean UX into day-to-day work, validates early and iterates quickly.
  • Connects user needs with business impact and measures success through outcomes.
  • Identifies risks, challenges assumptions and ensures the “why” is clear in every design decision.
  • Works fluently within agile product teams and understands development constraints.
  • Builds strong partnerships with engineers to ensure quality delivery.
  • Advocates for accessibility and designs with WCAG 2.2 AA standards in mind.
  • Understands the role of performance, SEO, and platform requirements in product design.
  • Contributes to team rituals, agile ceremonies and shared delivery goals.
  • Leads workshops, design reviews and team rituals with confidence.
  • Communicates design intent clearly to different audiences, from developers to stakeholders.
  • Mentors and coaches Associate and Mid-level designers, supporting their growth.
  • Helps drive alignment across disciplines and keeps focus on the user outcome.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a constructive, respectful way.
  • Works openly and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Participates actively in the design community, contributing to design critiques, rituals, and culture.
  • Role models inclusive design behaviours and accessibility principles.
  • Champions diverse user perspectives and helps ensure all voices are represented in design thinking.

What you will need to be successful

  • Experience designing digital products in cross-functional teams.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, from discovery to delivery.
  • Expertise in UX, interaction, visual design and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA).
  • Confident designing for both native mobile apps (iOS/Android) and responsive web.
  • Familiar with platform conventions and mobile-first design principles.
  • Experienced in working with mobile engineers to deliver high-quality app experiences.
  • Proficient in Figma and modern product design tools and workflows.
  • Comfortable working within and contributing to design systems at scale.
  • Skilled in facilitating discovery, workshops, testing sessions and co-design activities.
  • Strong communicator — able to explain design rationale clearly and influence decision-making.
  • A user-first mindset, grounded in commercial awareness and business impact.
