About the role

As a PMO Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in driving governance, reporting, and delivery frameworks for our portfolio of programmes and projects. Operating at portfolio level, you’ll ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with The Very Group’s strategic objectives.

What you will be doing

  • Portfolio Governance & Reporting: Produce accurate, timely portfolio-level reports, highlighting risks, issues, dependencies, and progress.
  • Programme Support: Provide analytical and administrative support to high-profile programmes, tracking milestones, budgets, and benefits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify and automate PMO processes, embedding best practice across teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior leaders, programme managers, and delivery teams, acting as a trusted advisor on PMO governance.

About you

  • Strong understanding of portfolio, programme, and project management methodologies (Agile & Waterfall).
  • Experience in a PMO function within a fast-paced corporate environment (retail or financial services preferred).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Desirable: Resource management experience, Power BI skills, and professional qualifications (PRINCE2, MSP, P3O).

  • 2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where you can expect both competency and technical questions (task based). This can be held either in-person or remotely.
