We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead revenue growth for Captify (part of Verve Group), reporting directly to the President, UK & International. This proven leader will be responsible for developing and executing a scalable sales strategy, focusing on expanding agency and brand partnerships and achieving revenue targets across Captify's media, data, and measurement solutions. The role requires a natural leader to scale a high-performing, data-driven sales organisation, fostering a positive culture and driving continuous improvement. As a key collaborator, this individual will influence stakeholder groups both internally (Customer Success, Insights, Marketing & Product) and externally (Agencies, Brands & Media partners). The ideal candidate brings deep experience in digital advertising, programmatic media, CTV and data-driven selling.
What You’ll Do
- External Focus: Revenue, Market, and Client Management
- Achieve Captify UK revenue targets across Verve for advertiser solutions, whether media, data and/or measurement services, with a focus on driving high-margin growth including in emerging areas like CTV.
- Develop and execute scalable sales strategies and identify new market opportunities, verticals, and strategic partnerships.
- Manage senior-level relationships across agency holding companies and brands to secure long-term commercial deals.
- Lead complex pitches and RFP/RFI responses, showcasing unique value propositions in CTV and programmatic solutions.
- Represent Captify as a thought leader at industry events and strategic workshops.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the ad tech ecosystem, competitor activity, and emerging technologies like AI and retail media.
- Internal Focus: Team Leadership, Operations, and Cross-Functional Strategy
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales organisation, fostering a consultative, data-driven sales culture, and providing direct management and clear progression plans for Sales Leaders.
- Manage budgets, run expenses for the UK Sales Team, set targets, and lead bi-annual sales planning, forecasting, territory strategy, and pipeline management to accurately forecast revenue and drive team overachievement.
- Drive thought leadership and strategic alignment by collaborating with internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Trading, Product marketing etc.).
- Use market intelligence and customer feedback to influence the product roadmap, ensure best-in-market servicing, and align the go-to-market strategy with evolving ad tech trends.
- Support the onboarding and growth of strategic accounts.
- Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What We Need
- 10+ years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, or ad tech.
- 5+ years in senior sales leadership roles.
- Proven track record exceeding revenue targets in ad tech or programmatic environments.
- Strong relationships with agencies, advertisers, and platform partners.
- Deep understanding of DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, data platforms, and measurement tools.
- Specific expertise in CTV/OTT advertising, including programmatic execution, measurement methodologies (e.g., household attribution/pixel-based tracking), and market challenges.
- Proficiency with CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce.
- Excellent leadership, communication, forecasting, and negotiation skills.
