Full job description
Are you ready to be part of the most significant opportunity unfolding right at your doorstep? Bid farewell to extensive travel and contract work as we invite you to join the groundbreaking developments in the field. Whether you seek a stable future or have a passion for Green Energy, this is your chance.
Why us? We will be the biggest XXXL Monopile factory in the world servicing the offshore wind industry with several secured projects commencing in 2025.
Our state-of-the-art facility in Teesside is well under construction, and we are actively seeking Seam Millers to join our team with various start dates across the year.
As a Miller, you will be responsible for lifting cans and cones on and off the milling station using an overhead crane, as well as positioning portable milling machines with the same equipment. You will set up and mill longitudinal welds to a predetermined depth on the machine, while also preparing surfaces for milling by grinding specific areas. This role involves setting up and milling circumferential welds with both portable and fixed milling machines, along with general equipment maintenance, such as inspecting and replacing cutting tips and consumables.

Your duties will also include identifying hazards, defects, and necessary repairs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and health and safety standards. Maintaining clean tools, equipment, and workspaces is crucial, as is the organisation of all necessary materials, tools, and equipment required for each task.
Your focus will be on adhering to safety standards, meeting deadlines, minimising downtime and wastage, and assisting your team members to ensure efficient operations and target achievement. Effective communication and collaboration with team members, contractors, and stakeholders is essential, as is keeping accurate records and immediately reporting any issues to your Line Supervisor.
As part of a team, you\\\’ll be expected to meet your individual targets, contribute to the team\\\’s overall success, and manage resources responsibly to stay within budgetary controls. Compliance with all company policies, procedures, health and safety standards, and legal regulations is a priority. Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, you will be accountable for your workload and play a vital role in the smooth operation of the organisation.
