We are looking for a talented chef de partie or sous chef to support our client in Newcastle City Centre. We are looking for a chef who can deliver exceptional service and quality and consistency of the hotel's menu.
- Have a flair and passion for food, leading by example to all junior chefs in all elements of food preparation and service.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in all government Health and Food Safety legislation, including HACCP, ensuring all necessary checks are completed throughout the kitchen (both quality and safety checks).
- Display the right temperament to successfully run service in the absence of Head Chef, promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Ensuring our dishes are always at their best and to the standards as agreed with the team but in line with brand expectations, preparing "Dish Recipe Cards" and ensuring all Allergen information is readily available.
- Making sure food items are secured and stored safely, keeping stocks replenished to minimise waste and ensuring that all kitchen equipment and environment are hygienic and working properly.
Depending on the level of the successful chef, the pay will be between £16.50-£18.00ph with holiday paid on top of all hours worked. You will be paid weekly on a Friday. This role has an immediate start date, and will generally be for dinner service in a 4 star Hotel in the heart of Newcastle.
