We are excited to announce that Sussex Verve Homecare is currently seeking a Clinical Lead Nurse specialising in Paediatrics for our Homecare service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and make a significant difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Clinical Lead Nurse at Verve Homecare, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop our clinical team in Sussex and the surrounding areas.

Primary Purpose of Role:

  • To positively support the Clinical Manager and Registered Manager in providing leadership to the care and support staff.
  • To have clinical accountability for their caseload in the community, supported by Verve Homecare.
  • To oversee the placing of the right staff to the right service user to deliver a professional and safe service, incorporating Verve Homecare’s policy on Patient Safety and Risk Management.
  • To ensure service users receive evidence-based, supervised care.
  • To train and develop carers and nurses working within the care packages or facilitate training under local contracts.
  • To assess service users’ needs, manage risks and devise individual holistic and detailed electronic care plans that are regularly evaluated.
  • To ensure that all safeguarding issues are escalated as per the policy.
  • To contribute to a weekly on-call rota and cover for colleagues.
  • Developing relationships throughout the multi-disciplinary teams in which they work.
  • Working alongside Care Delivery and Business Development in ongoing business development.
  • Follow the company Out-of-Hours Process and adhere to the On-Call rota.
