The Senior Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing key client accounts, with a strong focus on strategy, client retention, and commercial performance. Working closely with the Account Director and Head of Account Management, the role supports the development of account strategy and leads the delivery of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), translating campaign performance into insight-led recommendations and growth opportunities. The role oversees the coordination of omnichannel campaigns across internal teams, ensuring seamless delivery, clear communication, and alignment with client KPIs. In addition, the Senior Account Manager acts as a senior day-to-day client lead, building trusted relationships, driving client satisfaction and retention, and identifying opportunities for expansion across key accounts.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Campaign & Account Management
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of multi-channel campaigns across platforms, ensuring alignment with client KPIs and commercial objectives.
- Drive performance against key outcomes, developing clear action plans to improve AOV, retention, and overall account growth.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and internal Account Development Plans, translating performance data into strategic, insight-led recommendations.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and client escalations, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on performance or relationships.
- Coordinate cross-functional internal teams to ensure seamless campaign delivery, alignment to timelines and budgets, and consistent achievement of client objectives.
- Account Growth & Commercial Management
- Identify and develop opportunities to grow existing accounts through upselling and strategic initiatives.
- Support and lead client discussions around retention and contribute to account profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and revenue performance against targets.
- Support new business pitches and wider business growth initiatives through account insights, case studies, and client understanding.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Support the continuous improvement of account management processes, tools, and workflow efficiencies.
- Contribute to team development by mentoring junior colleagues and supporting performance and capability growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience in account management and/or client services, preferably within a media, advertising, or agency environment.
- Experience using programmatic platforms (DSPs/SSPs) for campaign delivery and reporting.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate it into strategic, insight-led recommendations and growth opportunities.
- Proven experience managing multiple complex or high-value client accounts with top-tier client servicing.
- Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities for account growth, retention, and improved campaign performance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience contributing to or leading client-facing strategic sessions, including pitches, QBRs, and account planning discussions.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, media planning platforms, and analytics tools (e.g. Salesforce, Tableau, or equivalent reporting systems).
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
