Are you an experienced CNC grinding operative looking for a new challenge in aerospace engineering? Verus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting a South Yorkshire-based leading international aerospace manufacturer in the recruitment of an experienced CNC 5-Axis Grinder on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued growth and projects.
As my client's CNC Grinder, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC 5-axis grinding machines and associated inspection processes. You will ensure that parts produced meet stringent aerospace specifications and quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities:- Operate and set CNC 5-axis grinding machines and supporting processes.
- Use correct tools and equipment for operations, including safety equipment and protective clothing provided.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area.
- Inspect completed operations using CMM and manual gauge tooling (verniers, micrometers, plug gauges).
- Follow written instructions from SOPs, technique sheets, drawings, and specifications.
- Qualification in CNC operation, apprenticeship trained OR industry experience.
- Skilled in manual measurement tools (verniers, gauges, micrometers).
- Experience in CNC grinding within aerospace or similar precision engineering sector. Must be metals.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Team player with excellent attention to detail.
- Starting salary while training: £37,570.65 (£19.53 PH) for 2 shifts, then moving to 3 shifts, taking your salary to £39,073.47 (£20.31 PH).
- Early finish on Fridays.
- 185 hours of holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell 37 hours annually.
