This is a fantastic opportunity to join a cutting-edge company renowned for producing high-quality components for the aerospace sector.

About the role:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of PPE and maintaining a hazard-free workspace, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during the welding process, such as equipment malfunctions or material defects.
  • Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet internal and external quality standards (NADCAP and AS9100) and adhere to specifications, maintaining structural integrity and quality control.
  • Maintain detailed records of welding jobs, including materials used, work completed, and any encountered issues, for quality control and documentation purposes.
  • Perform precision TIG welding on a variety of aerospace components using exotic metals.
  • Prepare metal components, ensuring proper alignment and setup for the welding process.
  • Regularly maintain and clean welding equipment to ensure optimal functionality and prevent malfunctions.
  • Stay updated on new welding techniques, technologies, and industry developments through ongoing training and skill development.
  • Interpret technical drawings and welding symbols to ensure accurate execution of welding tasks.
  • Operate semi-automated welding equipment for circumferential and longitudinal welds.

About You:

  • Proven experience in TIG welding, ideally within the aerospace or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Ability to work with exotic metals and thicknesses 1mm and below.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing top-quality work.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards.
  • An understanding of lean principles (5S).
