- Week 1: Days β Monday to Thursday, 6:00am β 4:00pm
- Week 2: Nights β Monday to Thursday, 8:00pm β 6:00am
Verus Recruitment is supporting an established engineering business in South Yorkshire. With a wide range of production machinery on site, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team and help ensure consistent equipment reliability.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving machinery performance, including:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance routines
- Investigating equipment operation to assist with fault diagnostics
- Completing repairs, component replacements, and adjustments
- Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment functionality quickly
- Performing inspections, overhauls, and scheduled servicing
- Collaborating with external engineers and supporting internal H&S processes
- Modifying machinery to support operational improvements
- Sourcing necessary parts during downtime
- Independently fault-finding across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Using technical drawings during diagnostics and repair work
- Working at height when required
- Experience in maintenance and repair within an engineering or production setting
- Strong understanding of 400v 3-phase electrical systems
- Competence across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- A practical, solution-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Confidence working independently
- Good communication and a proactive attitude towards safety and improvement
