Verus Recruitment Partners are delighted to be working with a leading international aerospace manufacturer based in South Yorkshire. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of exciting projects, we are looking to recruit a skilled Sheet Metal Worker on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of a variety of sheet metal products, as well as carrying out dressing and finishing activities.
About the Job:- Carrying out sheet metal operations on fabricated parts including abrading, drilling, deburring, inserting, and general assembly.
- Interpreting technical drawings and customer specifications.
- Using fixtures and tooling for assembly and fitting inserts/rivets.
- Operating stretch formers, brake presses, guillotines, and bandsaws.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and route card requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and audit-ready work area.
- Conducting autonomous maintenance checks and logging operations to NADCAP standards.
- Identifying and reporting non-conforming parts throughout the process.
- Seeking continuous improvement in methods and performance.
- Proven experience in sheet metal work across a variety of products.
- Skilled in dressing and finishing fabricated parts.
- Confident with assembly tooling, marking out, fitting inserts, and riveting.
- Experience using stretch formers, brake press, guillotines, and bandsaws.
- Understanding of lean principles, such as 5S.
- Quality-driven and target-focused.
- Accurate, organised, and able to interpret drawings.
- Strong team player with excellent time management.
- Comfortable working rotating Day and Morning shifts.
