Are you a Level II X-Ray Technician looking for long-term stability within a structured aerospace environment? Verus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting a leading international aerospace manufacturer based in South Yorkshire. Due to continued growth and programme demand, we are recruiting an experienced NDT X-Ray Technician to join their established Radiography department on a permanent basis.

This role would suit someone who values working within a compliance-led environment where standards are clear, documentation is controlled and quality is embedded into daily operations.

Job Purpose:

To carry out radiographic non-destructive testing on aerospace components, ensuring all products meet strict customer, regulatory and internal quality standards. You will understand the products, equipment setup and NDT operations, working within a highly regulated and audit-ready environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with X-Ray generating equipment.
  • Set up, operate and calibrate all X-Ray equipment.
  • Review routers, procedures, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Carry out radiographic testing in line with EN4179 / NAS410 standards.
  • Process radiographic films and/or digital outputs.
  • Interpret, evaluate and report inspection results.
  • Identify weld discontinuities and assess against specification.
  • Generate new and amended NDT Data Cards for Level III approval.
  • Maintain accurate and traceable inspection documentation.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and process control checks.
  • Follow and promote Health & Safety practices at all times.

Once training is completed, you will move onto the 3-shift rotation.

About You:
  • Hold or previously have held EN4179 / NAS410 Level II X-Ray certification (essential).
  • Experience working within an aerospace Radiography department.
  • Confident operating and calibrating X-Ray equipment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP environments would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical working approach.
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team.
  • PCN Level II certification would be desirable but is not essential.
