You’ll be based in a large, well-invested manufacturing facility in Rotherham, producing components across sectors including defence, rail and heavy engineering.
What the role looks like day to day:
You’ll be carrying out MIG welding on a range of materials, working from drawings, and producing parts to required standards. Most of the work is repetitive but still requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to maintain quality across your shift.
What you will be doing:
- MIG welding on carbon steel, armour steel and aluminium.
- Welding a range of joint configurations in different positions.
- Setting welding parameters in line with WPS requirements.
- Working from engineering drawings.
- Meeting production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Ensuring correct marking and labelling of components.
