You’ll be machining precision components in an aerospace environment, working to tight tolerances and established processes. The expectation is straightforward. Read the drawing, set it correctly, and produce parts to standard.
What the role looks like day to day:
- You’ll be working on 3-axis CNC turning / VTL machines, running jobs, carrying out inspection, and keeping output consistent across your shift.
- You may be running more than one machine where required.
What you will be doing:
- Operating and setting 3-axis CNC Turning / VTL machines
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Machining components to tight tolerances (±5 thou)
- Working with exotic materials and alloys
- Carrying out dimensional inspection using Verniers, micrometres and gauges
- Maintaining consistency and output across shifts
- Following strict quality standards including AS9100 and NADCAP
- Working to production targets and schedules
- Supporting continuous production during a busy period

- Strong CNC machining experience within turning or VTL
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently
- Comfortable working to tight tolerances
- Experience working with inspection equipment (Verniers, gauges, micrometres)
- Apprenticeship trained or equivalent industry experience
- Background in aerospace or similar high-spec manufacturing is desirable
