Are you a Sheet Metal Worker looking for a role where quality actually matters? Verus Recruitment Partners are supporting a long-standing aerospace manufacturer in Sheffield with the recruitment of a Sheet Metal Worker due to continued growth and demand. This is a hands-on role within a well-established engineering environment, working on aerospace components where accuracy and consistency are key. You’ll be joining a clean, well-equipped workshop, working alongside an experienced team with a strong focus on doing the job properly.
Responsibilities include:
- To fabricate, assemble, finish and inspect sheet metal components in line with aerospace standards, ensuring all work is completed accurately and to specification.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components.
- Carry out abrading, deburring, drilling, dressing, inserting and riveting.
- Operate equipment including stretch formers, brake presses, guillotines and bandsaws.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities.
Requirements:
- Experience working with sheet metal in a manufacturing environment.
- Ideally from an aerospace or precision engineering background.
- Skilled in assembly, finishing and use of hand tools.
- Quality-focused with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working to production targets and shift patterns.
