What the role looks like day to day:

  • You’ll be working across site with managers, engineers and operators to make sure standards are met, risks are controlled, and issues are dealt with properly.
  • This is about applying standards in a practical way, balancing compliance with the realities of a busy production environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Carrying out risk assessments including PUWER and COSHH.
  • Leading internal audits and safety reviews.
  • Investigating incidents and using data to drive improvements.
  • Developing and maintaining safe systems of work and permits to work.
  • Running HSE committee meetings and following through on actions.
  • Managing contractor and visitor safety on site.
  • Supporting emergency planning, drills and evacuation procedures.
  • Maintaining documentation, policies and training records.
