What the role looks like day to day:
- You’ll be working across site with managers, engineers and operators to make sure standards are met, risks are controlled, and issues are dealt with properly.
- This is about applying standards in a practical way, balancing compliance with the realities of a busy production environment.
What you will be doing:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Carrying out risk assessments including PUWER and COSHH.
- Leading internal audits and safety reviews.
- Investigating incidents and using data to drive improvements.
- Developing and maintaining safe systems of work and permits to work.
- Running HSE committee meetings and following through on actions.
- Managing contractor and visitor safety on site.
- Supporting emergency planning, drills and evacuation procedures.
- Maintaining documentation, policies and training records.
