We are currently recruiting for a User Experience Designer to join a high performing trading technology team at a leading investment bank. The successful person will help shape and implement the design philosophy across a complex data rich trading environment, turning intricate workflows into intuitive, efficient user experiences.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in defining how users interact with sophisticated internal platforms. Working closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, you will lead the design of end-to-end journeys and interaction models that bring clarity to complex systems. As part of a newly formed team, you will also have the opportunity to influence design standards, tooling, and best practices from the ground up. This is a predominantly UX-focused role, with some involvement in product and visual design where appropriate.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitate and deliver journey mapping and workflow mapping
- Define clear, scalable interaction models for multi-step processes
- Simplify dense information and operational workflows
- Produce wireframes, prototypes, and UX documentation
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering in an agile environment
- Advocate for user-centred design principles across stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- Strong background in UX design for complex data intensive systems
- Proven experience in user journeys, service mapping, and interaction design
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into intuitive experiences
- Confident communicator comfortable working with senior and technical stakeholders
- Exposure to product design and visual design fundamentals
- Experience in banking or financial services is beneficial, but not essential
Tools & Ways of Working
- Experience with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch or similar)
- Comfortable using collaboration and journey mapping tools (e.g., Miro, Mural or equivalent)
- Familiarity working within agile product delivery environments
