Job Description
React Developer – Fixed Income eTrading | Global Investment Bank
We are seeking experienced React Developers to join the Fixed Income eTrading technology team at a global investment bank. This position is part of a high-profile, multi-year transformation initiative aimed at modernising and scaling a next-generation electronic trading platform for Fixed Income products.
The role is to help build cutting edge frontend systems for Fixed Income eTrading, including Rates, Credit, and Bonds.
You'll work closely with world-class technologists and domain experts to deliver scalable, high-performance UIs that support real-time trading and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, low-latency front-end trading systems using React.
- Build dashboards and visualisation tools for Fixed Income market data and trade execution.
- Collaborate with traders, quants, and back-end engineers to deliver seamless UI experiences.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and front-end performance tuning.
Required Skills & Experience
- Expertise in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Proven experience delivering front-end applications in electronic trading environments
- Strong understanding of performance optimisation and low-latency UI design
- Experience with real-time data technologies (WebSockets, FIX, etc.)
- Familiarity with containerized front-end platforms such as OpenFin is a plus
- Prior exposure to Fixed Income products (Rates, Credit, Bonds) or other capital markets
- Experience in data visualisation, charting and grid tools like AG Grid, Highcharts etc
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, front-office environments with direct business interaction
- Passionate about technology, innovation, and solving complex engineering problems
