One of our reputable financial services clients is looking to hire a Network Engineer to join a global team and play a pivotal role in several projects as well as key BAU tasks across several different business areas.

The company are currently expanding into different markets, so naturally the demand for networking expertise has become a lot greater – a good sign for any engineer who wants to work for a successful, growing company.

Some of the upcoming projects include big, global initiatives around low-latency network design, cloud connectivity, data centre migrations and a company-wide strategic focus towards more network automation.

To be right for this role, you need to have the following:

  • Strong Cisco experience (hardware, switching & routers).
  • Firewall expertise.
  • Any cloud experience beneficial, as is previous experience in the financial services space.
  • Strong understanding around VoIP concepts/protocols.
  • Previous experience with low latency/high frequency trading network design and support is a must.

The company will require this person to be in the office three days a week, with two days a week working from home. This is a 12-month initial contract with a possibility of extending. Please note that this is a PAYE contract going through an Umbrella company.
