The Role
I'm working with a business investing heavily in enterprise AI, search and knowledge management capabilities. They're looking for a Data Engineer to help build the data foundations that sit behind large-scale AI and knowledge discovery platforms.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing and delivering data pipelines, search infrastructure and knowledge management solutions that turn complex enterprise information into trusted, searchable and AI-ready assets.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing and building scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines across multiple enterprise data sources.
- Developing solutions that support AI, search, analytics and knowledge management use cases.
- Building and maintaining knowledge graph capabilities to model relationships across complex business data.
- Enhancing enterprise search and indexing performance to improve information discovery and retrieval.
- Implementing metadata, data quality and governance controls across large-scale datasets.
- Working closely with AI engineers, architects, data specialists and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data products.
What You Bring
- Strong data engineering experience using Python and SQL.
- Experience designing and supporting large-scale ETL or ELT pipelines.
- Exposure to modern cloud-based data platforms and distributed data architectures.
- Knowledge of search technologies, indexing solutions or information retrieval platforms.
- Understanding of data governance, lineage and metadata management principles.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
The Package
- Β£700-Β£800 per day, depending on experience and engagement model.
- Long-term programme delivering enterprise AI and data capabilities.
