Senior Java Developer – Market Connectivity – Equities (Contract) Location: London (Hybrid) A leading investment bank is seeking a senior Java engineer to join its Equities Connectivity team on a contract basis. This is a key role supporting a critical platform that connects to external trading venues and market data providers. What You\’ll Do: Build and enhance systems for real-time market connectivity Work on low-latency infrastructure and high-performance messaging Contribute to ongoing platform upgrades and modernisation Help shape the long-term strategy of the connectivity stack Key Requirements: Strong Core Java, multithreading, and concurrency experience Knowledge of market connectivity protocols (e.g. FIX) Experience in any asset class, equities preferred, but others considered Ability to work independently and contribute to technical direction This is an opportunity to take real ownership and play a key role in an evolving area of the trading platform.
