Position: Lead Business Analyst

Client: Reputable Investment Bank
My client is looking to hire a Lead Business Analyst to join their Front Office Fixed Income Trade Capture division, focusing on the Rates space. You will join a new programme integrating a legacy system with innovative functionality from a new strategic build. You will help lead the analysis for this multi-year initiative incorporating more products after Rates.
Responsibilities include:
- Getting in right at the start of the programme and working closely with front office teams to understand workflows and assess existing infrastructure.
- Producing comprehensive documentation gathered from senior stakeholders and translating it into functional requirements for technology teams.
- Guiding the analysis on the re-architecture of the Rates technical landscape.
- Reviewing and simplifying legacy SQL code, cleaning it up, and streamlining it.
- Understanding how existing data structures are created and putting together a picture of why the existing data looks the way it does.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Lead BA on a long-term project on another Fixed Income Rates platform.
- Demonstrated track record as a BA/PM on a Rates-driven project from inception to post-implementation.
- Clear record of longevity in current/previous roles.
- Strong knowledge of Rates products (SWAPS, Bonds, IRDs, etc.).
- Excellent requirements gathering experience at another Investment Bank.
- Solid experience working on projects focused on front office trading platforms.
- Strong knowledge of broker flows/front office workflows.
The expectation is for this person to be in the office (London) two to three days a week. The salary will range between £90,000-£120,000.
