Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for people and the ability to navigate complex employment law matters? We are looking for a Senior Employee Relations Manager to deliver our ER agenda across the Group. We are offering a basic salary of £50,000 with an OTE of £55,000 plus an excellent range of Company benefits, including a company car.

As the 4th largest Motor retailer in the UK with over 190 retail sales outlets UK wide, this vacancy represents a superb opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our highly commercial HR team working within a large growing PLC. In this pivotal role, you will be the go-to expert for senior leaders and managers, providing commercially focused, risk-aware advice on a wide range of employee relations matters. From handling high-risk cases and appeals to representing the organisation at Employment Tribunals, you will be at the forefront of ensuring fair, values-driven outcomes. You will have a team of five regionally based HR Employee Relations Managers delivering a high volume case load working alongside a central ER advisory team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading and developing our operational ER management team.
  • Managing complex and high-risk ER cases, including escalated appeals.
  • Overseeing Employment Tribunal cases and liaising with external solicitors.
  • Driving the relationship with our occupational health provider.
  • Identifying training needs and delivering impactful ER training across the Group.
  • Using data insights to shape policy and practice.
  • Supporting strategic HR projects and policy reviews.
