Job Description

Due to the continued success and forecast growth of the Vertu Motors plc Group of Companies, we are looking to recruit a Property Project Manager to be based in the South West support our portfolio of dealerships nationwide.

The purpose of this role is to deliver a range of exciting construction projects, refurbishments, and small works across our wide range of brands spanning over 190 dealerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a wide a variety of construction projects right though from tender through to building handover and occupation. You will have a variety of experience of commercial property construction and a proven track record of successfully completing retail projects.

Whilst based at one of our regional dealerships, you will be expected to support our dealership network national so travel will be expected, you will need to attend meeting at our Support Centre in Gateshead and in addition you may need to have the occasional overnight stay. You will report directly to the Group Property Development Director and will be an integral part of the property team improving standards and ensuring that all projects are completed to comply will all relevant British Standards in a safe way.

We are looking for the successful candidate to be professional, capable of working on their own, highly motivated, and self-managed with excellent communication and team skills. We have a large portfolio of refurbishments and exiting small works projects around the country and you will play an instrumental role in managing the delivery of the final product to the highest of standards, controlled financially and in accordance with budget constraints.

You will have a construction background having Project Management, Quantity Surveying or Building Surveying with post graduate level experience with a high level of experience in Retail / Commercial properties and able to demonstrate a successful track record with a good understanding of the Built Environment. Membership of the RICS, CIOB or APM would be advantageous.
